We’ve just spent the last couple of days enjoying a visit from some good friends and their two boys.
It was all enjoyable, but two highlights spring to mind:
The youngest boy (Hudson) pottering around the flat with his pet pommes de terre and, the older one (Elijah) shouting bon appetit over and over, after giggling with Dave who was attempting his best Mr Bean voice, while mangling the French language and sporting a racoon glove puppet!
Thankful for good memories.
P.S. I still plan to post more on the hospitality piece – too busy trying to live it at the moment!

Is it a racoon? I thought it was a lemur.
I’ve just googled both Melanie and I think you’re right. It was the name Rikki (Ricky?) that led me down the racoon path. Maybe it should be Lennie. Whatever it is, it caused more than a few laughs!
I think I can clear this up….at first glance, Mr Blunders thought he was a racoon and named him Ricky. Further research indicated that he is, in fact, a lemur. But we stuck with Ricky – cos Ricky the ring tailed lemur still works (even if it is rather more longwinded)
Thank you again M et Mme Roberts for a lovely stay. Hope you’re having a great week.
Lots of love xxxxx
The pet pommes de terre was missed when we popped in on our way back to Dieppe! x
I was going to leave it out for him but I forgot – sorry – you’ll just have to bring him back soon and I’ll have another one ready!
